The view from the front porch is lovely at night, as all the lights in town are twinkling below. The north and east view from the home are horses and farmland, and pretty sunsets. Our guests have access to the entire property; home and nicely maintained yard with shady picnic and barbecue area. There is a storage room attached to the back of the house that guests are welcome to use if needed. The driveway to our house is located directly across the street from the large bark chip pile at Morrow County Grain Growers. As you go up the steep gravel driveway to our house, stay to the left at the Y in the driveway. Continue uphill to the last house on the left. There is a small wooden sign with the numbers 233 at the edge of the parking area for our house.

I’ve added a fully-functional kitchen to the laundry area, utilizing the original cupboards and other lumber found on the property. Enjoy our cozy cabin in the Umatilla National Forest with all the comforts of home and a chance to UNPLUG. It is a covered manufacured home that has been updated, furnished and clean as a whistle. The back bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has a twin bed. The bunk house across the breezway has another double bed and a futon if needed. Heating is provided by an Oil furnace and wood stove including the wood and all the makings. Cooling is provided by the great outdoors which always cools and refreshes everything overnight. Big front deck and smaller deck out back with a fire pit.

The home is centered on a 320-acre cattle ranch in the foothills of the Elkhorn Ridge of the Blue Mountains. The house is at 4,200 ft elevation and the ridge rises to 9,000 ft. Two small streams flow through the property where you can fish or wade or 'swim' in a deep spot. Hiking, riding, snowmobiling, mountain biking, sledding, hunting and cross country skiing are as close as the front door while Baker and Union counties offer countless more opportunities. Anthony Lakes ski area is famous for powder snow and is only is 19 miles away. Water skiing and sail boarding are nearby.
